Sleeping Disorders such as Insomnia can affect anyone!
Sleep Disorders | Insomnia

Insomnia is characterized by an inability to sleep and/or to remain asleep for a reasonable period of time. Insomniacs typically complain of being unable to close their eyes or "rest their mind" for more than a few minutes at a time.

However, Insomnia is in fact a symptom of a range of sleep disorders, though a common misconception is that it is itself a sleep disorder.

Insomnia is most often caused by sleep disorders, but other causes include fear, stress, anxiety, and exposure to various medications, herbs, and caffeine.

Insomnia

Insomnia is probably the most common type of sleeping disorder. Insomnia affects millions of people each year and can be extremely frustrating to those that suffer from it. Insomnia is usually defined as the inability to fall asleep or get a full nights sleep. Many people that suffer from insomnia have trouble falling asleep each night. They may toss and turn and finally get to bed way past midnight only to wake up a few hours later. Many people with insomnia only get a few hours of sleep each night, way less than the 7 hours required for adults.

If you notice that you can’t fall asleep each night and that your sleeping problems have been consistent over a period of time, you should contact a physician in order to receive a diagnosis and talk about treatment options. Insomnia can be treated, usually with medications that include sedatives. One of the most common treatments for insomnia is Ambien, a drug that can safely put you to sleep and allows you to stay asleep for an entire period of time. Ambien is very popular due to the fact that you don’t feel groggy in the morning and most people don’t experience any side affects.

Many people suffer from Insomnia due to their constant worrying or anxiety, many doctors might also recommend counseling or certain prescription medication that can help with a chemical imbalance. If you find yourself not being able to sleep consult with a medical professional to find out if you are suffering from Insomnia or possibly another type of sleeping disorder.
